Following Pietersz by defeat by Phiri, tennis coach Bill Adams agreed that it is not
the best players who necessarily win tournaments, but the smart ones.
Another coach support this assessment, pointing out that in the Caribbean and
like other tournament venues, climatic conditions, food, and other factors
contribute to the environment, and it is only by the players properly managing
their game on and off the court will determine their successes.
