Dominic, a past Sportsman of the Year recipient, had recently won a silver medal
for Saint Lucia at the CAC Championships in Cali, Columbia the previous
weekend, and then flew straight to the San Diego meet, where he made the
Olympic qualifying height
Equally impressive is the fact this will be Dominic Johnson’s third Olympiad, as he
competed in the 1996 Atlanta Games and at the 2000 Sydney Games.
Johnson now joins the elite group of athletes of Levern Spencer (Ladies high
jump), and Emma Gene Evans (ladies javelin), who also have qualified for the
Beijing Games.
