Chewed by the Beast

the pose of a confident champion
Rolandson “The Beast” Auguste continues to rule his lair with utmost
ruthlessness, when on Sunday March 3, 2008, he captured the Champion of
Champions title at the Courts-sponsored Powerhouse Bodybuilding
Championships.
It was like a fait accompli when a ripped and shredded Auguste stepped onto
the stage to take on a field boasting of a number of champions – former and
otherwise.
Lawrence "Robo Cop", Stephens, Alphonsus "Short Man" Joseph Winston
Richardson the Novice Class winner, William Lamontagne who won the
Intermediate division a few minutes earlier), St George Prospere and Orville
James.
Although Julian Felix was a notable absentee, it wouldl have taken more then
just muscle and reputation to stop Auguste.
According to Auguste in a post-showdown interview, "I expected something
good tonight, and I came to deliver in order to get something good in return."
Many were disappointed that Julian Felix was unable to compete due to the flu,
but Auguste was doubtful Felix would have made a difference to the result.
"Whether he was there or not, I would still do what I had to do to win. I am
very, very confident," said Auguste.
Stephens came in second place, while Joseph too third spot, a clean sweep of
the top three places for the Sidonie Brothers Gym.
Velda John won the Women’s Open Body Fitness competition with Amanda
Eugene placing second.
Velda then attempted to do the double, in the Women’s Female Open
competition, but the experienced Monica Dudley displayed all the attributes of
the female bodybuilder to waltz away with the title.
Velda placed second, with Magdalene Felix who displayed much body mass and
potential took the third spot.
