CASTRIES, Saint Lucia – As the Digicel Home Series rages on between the West

Indies and the touring Australians, many youngsters, urged on by their teachers,

friends, and parents, hold their own version of the series.

Last week, the R.C. Boys School in Castries, held a series of cricket matches in

the yard.

 

The matches were between various classes, and were as competitive as those

played by their more illustrious colleagues.

Moreover, the potential shown by a number of the batsmen in driving through

the covers, the pace and the bowlers, and fielding, shows that there is potential

just waiting to be tapped in all nooks and crannies of the Caribbean.
