Stanford men visit Castries Comprehensive Secondary School

MONDAY MAY 26, 2008, CASTRIES, Saint Lucia - The Castries Comprehensive
Secondary School’s Sports Program hosted the Saint Lucia Stanford Twenty20
professional cricket team on Monday May 26, 2008 at the school.
The pro team cricketers spoke to the students gathered in the school’s
auditorium on career guidance pertaining to physical education and sport in
particular, the sport of cricket; health and fitness, and socio-emotional
development through sport.

Following the brief addresses by three of the team’s players. Mervin Charles,
Alvin Prospere, and Coach Roger Harper, spoke to the school’s cricketers
following which the players were put through the paces of a short training
programme.

The school’s cricketers, three of who represented Saint Lucia on the island’s
youth teams, were given tips on bowling, fielding, and preparation towards
improving one’s game.
