School Boy Wins Top Title

Troy Cepal sinks the 8 ball

MONDAY JUNE 09, 2008, Castries Saint Lucia – Nineteen-year-old Troy Cepal,

a student at the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College, kept his nerve throughout,

to capture the 2008 Campari 8-Ball Pool Championship, at the Prio’s Palace on

Sunday.

Against a quality field including many past champions and top ranked players,

Cepal held kept his cool to defeat the skilful Louie Loren 3-1 in the best-of-five

final.

Cepal won the first two games, and in a tense and gripping third game, Loren

secure the victory, but when many were holding their breaths and expecting the

score to be leveled, Loren faulted and Cepal sank the remaining 8-ball to capture
