KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent and The Grenadines; Tuesday October 2nd 2007 –
In another show of commitment to the development of tennis and sports in
general, leading mobile telecommunications company Digicel, have taken the
bold step by signing on one of the leading junior tennis players in the OECS.
“As a further demonstration of Digicel’s commitment to to tennis, to sports, and
especially to the young people of St. Vincent, we have decided to endorse a
very talented young tennis player, Mr. Fabrice George,” stated Digicel St. Vincent
and the grenadines Country Manager Sonia Polius.
For his part the 14-year-old George spoke of his commitment to eh the sports he
dearly loves, and his aim to reach the top.
In the presence of his parents, officials of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines
Tennis Association, and the island’s Tourism, Youth and Sports Minister Glen
Beache, the young star shyly affixed his signature to the contract.
Polius added that “we firmly believe that he is a future leader in St. Vincent in
the sport of tennis.” |
