It’s all to play for on final day

Trinidad and Tobagos goal-shoot Anastasia Wilson uses a height to great advantage against the USAMONDAY JULY 26, 2010; BEAUSEJOUR, Saint Lucia – Tuesday July 2th 2010 is the final day of action at the 2010 Americas Federation of Netball Associations (AFNA) Netball Qualifiers at the Beausejour Indoor Facility in Saint Lucia, and for at least two of the teams, it is all to play for.

 

For years hosts Saint Lucia and one of the top-ranked teams in the tournament have had their rivalries in the many sports arenas that they have clashed, and Monday night’s clash was more that just netball bragging rights at stake.

 

The history behind these two countries are well known, and like two gladiators in the Roman arenas of old, they pulled out all the stops and left the spectators applauding a display of netball which was needed for the development of the sport.
